Leeds Castle

Leeds Castle

"The Loveliest Castle in the World"

Leeds Castle is situated in the heart of the 'Garden of England' in the lovely county of Kent and is located just five miles east of Maidstone. The castle, built on an island in the middle of a lake, is surrounded by 500 acres of beautiful parkland and gardens.

With 1000 years of history including the infamous Henry VIII as one of its many owners, the castle is a treasure house of paintings, tapestries and antiques. Attractions include gardens, an aviary with 100 species of birds, (some endangered), a dog collar museum, a falconry centre with daily birds of prey displays, a maze with a secret grotto, shops, restaurants and outdoor kiosks, a Hi-Flyer, Go-Ape (from March 2008) and adventure playgrounds for the youngsters.

With a programme of all year round special events, including Easter activities, a Horse Show in April, a Jousting Festival in May/June, Flower Festivals in June and October, The Globe Touring with 'The Winters Tale' in July and a magnificent Firework Spectactular in November, to name but a few, there's always a fantastic choice of events for friends, family or couples.

We have established a long-standing working relationship with the castle over the past 30 years and we offer a number of travel options to get you to and from Leeds Castle, depending on your circumstances.
